Mermaid and 3D origami

In Bialistok we learnt how to make a kind of crab with 3D origami that you can see on the images below. They gave us a very nice swam made with the same technique:

Today in the Arts class they learnt the basic steps with this video:

I told them the legend of the Mermaid and then they were learning how to draw one with this tutorial:

European Landmarks

Tomorrow, 9th May is Europe Day. 

I have asked Year 5 pupils to look for different festivals in Europe and I have just prepared this activity where they need to investigate where these landmarks below are. We are really lucky because  due to this project, we have already visited some of them.

I am sure our pupils already know some very famous landmarks from different countries in Europe. Where are these landmarks from? Please, comment saying the number, the name of the building and the country or place where it is.

Como en matemáticas habéis empezado a estudiar los ángulos, aquí dejo actividades que iremos haciendo:

All about me

¡Aquí lo tenéis! Perdón por el retraso... Esto es lo que os he puesto en clase para hacer la tarea que os he mandado para el miércoles. Podéis hacer una menzcla de las dos cosas, lo podéis hacer en un folio de color, decorarlo como os guste, poner una foto con vuestra mascota, vuestro hermano, vuestro juguete preferido, hacer un dibujo... como vosotros prefiráis. Ya sabéis que la condición es que tenéis que escribir sobre vosotros mismos. Quiero que hagáis el esfuerzo de tenerlo todos para el miércoles porque además lo tendré en cuenta para la nota.
